And do you have more pictures on the different bronze color types, such as white bronze/ancient bronze/yellow bronze?
I presently don't have the equipment needed to do plating but plan on having it in a couple of months. When I do I'll probably stop selling Yellow and Silver Bronze and offer gold and sliver plated Ancient bronze instead, as ancient bronze is much easier to work with than yellow and silver.
As for a picture of the different types bronze I presently am yet to have any single item around in all different metal options, but here is a picture that shows Yellow bronze->Silver Bronze->Ancient Bronze
I really love the 2 ring attachment of the type 2 but I want the see through of the type 1
And what would that cost in sterling silver?
So just the normal price for the Sterling Silver Type I Pendant ($160), and you can still just order the type I on Etsy. Just add a reminder in the "Note to ChaosDrop" section on checkout page so I know it's you.
As if it goes through I will be able to make a single batch of pins to be able to sell at cool princes. Other wise I have to sell pins for $50~65(Bronze)... Though that's only true if you want a Silver-brass pin. If you wanted a Sterling Silver or Gold pin then it would have to be made as a custom order. Pin size on the IGG is a fixed 1 1/2" (width). Where as custom pins well much more expensive can be made to your likening on all 3-axies (width x height and depth). Large sizes will effect price more on sliver/gold but not much on bronze)
P/s Custom bronze pins can be made in Silver Bronze, Yellow Bronze, or Ancient bronze.
Though at this rate it may take me a couple more weeks than I planed before I can start selling openly as I am having issues finding ways to keep my cost under $100 for ancient bronze. The way that I may wind up getting around it, if nothing else is going to be to do "sand blasted" finishes (Which actually look kind of cool, but not as professional) at the $75 mark for the ancient bronze versions and only offer a shiny hand polished finishes option on the sliver.
If you are interested in buying one before I get a "market" version made, I don't expect my cost/overhead of dealing with sliver to change much at all so I'd be more than happy to start making you one now if you would like. For Starling Sliver it would be $150 + Shipping.
It's cheaper than Gold And Sliver when you are cutting or milling it, or if you are a massive company, but for small batch casting it would wind up costing you more than Sliver since you would need to spend so much more on equipment to handle it.
If you really wanted I could probably outsource the project to the specialty machine shop my sister works for and they could make you one in Stainless, but from my experience for a one off piece like this they would want close to if not over $1,500 due to the complex laying structure. For a more falter detail version it would probably be closer to $400~600. On the other hand I could cast it out of Sliver for around $130.
Stainless just tends to be really expensive to work with in small batches. As a metal it doesn't cost that much but the overhead in dealing with it can get crazy unless you are dealing with high volumes.
This one is for sell as-is and than in the not-so-distant future another slightly different version will be for general sell.
The big things that will be different on the general ones will be surface finish, and they'll be slightly smaller due to mold shrinkage compared to the prototypes. They should be the same price though as I'm trying to keep overhead down as much as possible to keep things affordable for people.
In the near future for the next version I'll be setting up an etsy account.
That would especially be great option for the pin versions, of which I'm planing to start offering once I get the new equipment in, they will be thinner and slightly smaller (I want to standardize the height of all pins so they'll better match each other). I have a couple prototypes made and they are pretty cool.
If I didn't have to go on a 9+ hour unexpected family obligation today, may plan was to set it up today...
If you would like I can reply here or note you when it's setup.
